Ski-Doo 'ing'

On Saturday my dad got the old Ski-Doo running. We got the Ski-Doo from my grandpa two years ago. It dosn't really look like this though. Of course my dad had to tear around on it once he got it running. HE made us come out. First of all we just went for the ride, and then my dad pumped up a old tractor tire tube. That was our tube. We had no handles so we laid down and hung on. If you fell off, the tube would run over you and it would hurt. It was so much fun when dad did donuts in the field.

Ivemecing Cows

On Saturday Jan. 16th I went to our neighbors and Ivemect cows. If you are wondering what Ivemec means, it is a blue liquid that you pour on the cows. It makes them stay healthy and not get parasites. On with the story! I was riding a mare named Chevy and she is four years old. She didn't listen perfectly but she did pretty good for a four year old. I had to chase cows up the alley to put them into the chute. One time there was a crazy cow that decided to ram my horse into the fence. I hit my knee on the fence and it really hurt. That was my Saturday.

Big Muddy

On Sunday, I went down to the regular place I rope at, but it was a little different. It was a Big Muddy, Big Muddy is an association where you rope and barrel race. When it first started I was in the barrel racing and I got third. I only rope in the kids so all afternoon I spoke into the microphone saying who's next... Finally it was time for the kids roping! I got on Bailley and warmed him up. I was the first one up. I ended up in third place for barrels and roping. I think I did very good.

Christmas Break

My alarm clock said 5:00am, I ran into my sisters room and woke her up. We bolted down the stairs and we exclaimed "Can we go in yet!" Finally my parents answered. We had to wait at the living room door...
It was Christmas morning and I was wondering what I would get. Put Put Put! We heard my grandparents drive in. Yes we can Finally go in...
The Christmas Tree was sparkling the presents underneath it were shining and it was a beautiful day outside(-35). I got so much stuff for roping and my horse.
On the Sunday after Christmas I tried out my new halter, roping bag, roping gloves, hoof pick, and bell boots. Everything worked great!!
